Preparing for Performances: key strategies to adopt !

When you have a task at hand, how well you perform does not depend on your skill alone! Skill no doubt, is an integral part of the requirements you need to ensure that you hit the highest point in your performance, but there are other perquisites that would help you measure up your performance. Today you need to look at some key things that would help you perform at the highest level of your expectation at anything that you are planning to do:
1. Try to put your mind at ease. An agitated mind often leads to complications. You ought to be able to think clearly and strategically about anything that you need to do at present or in the future. One way of putting your mind at ease is to plan your activity to the letter: whatever you want to do, break it down into manageable tasks and eliminate them one by one. If the tasks are too complicated you might require some help from people around you. Never be afraid to ask for help if the task is one that would enable you seek outside help. Help could be in the shape of advice or guidance that is well rendered for your use. The mere fact that you are doing something about your future activity by why of plans should help you put your mind at ease. Remember anxiety never helped anybody.
2. Make sure your body is healthy: Rest; take medicine if you are ill; good food and exercise should all culminate in a healthy body. If you have a big upcoming activity at hand, the tendency is for you to be restless and to almost go without sleep. This is dangerous. You need to rest and make sure that your body is functioning in top gear. A sound mind and an agitated body would only put you at risk. If you have prepared enough and planned properly you should be able to sleep and eat well enough so that you don't put your body at risk.
3. Prepare! Never be caught off guard. Prepare for every eventuality you imagine could happen. Where its possible, rehearse! Look at what you need to do based on your plan and do some of it before the actual commencement date, see how it looks to you. Prototypes, test runs, dry runs and mock activity are all based on the philosophy of preparation. Get familiar with strange things that you have to use or do. Get the hang of it. Don't think that on the D day it will just go the way you want it to. You have to be prepared for awkward situations. The more you prepare, the more ready you are to do the actual activity.
4. Execute, put in your all! Whenever you get the chance to engage in any activity you know would be assessed by other people, put in your utmost. You never know who will be watching, you never know what the current activity could lead you to. Someone might be watching at the sidelines and he could make his decision to endorse you for greater activity based on what you are doing at present. So, execute, bearing in mind that the world is watching you, even if it isn't.
