Rebranding steps you can take to change the image of your business, person or organization

To re-brand simply means to change the image of the product or service that the public is accustomed to and possibly change the target audience of your product. How do you make them look at you differently and possibly consider how to do business with you more than before or perhaps you want to relate with some members of the public on a drastically differential level! Technically, it starts from how you want them to see you, so the first step would be:
Decide what you want! Do you want the public view of the product or service to improve in any sense or do you wish for it to contract and address a particular segment of people Are you introducing a new range of products, another service or are you simply modifying or changing tastes, names or shapes? No matter what you are doing, there is a need to decide and begin with the end in mind. If you are sure of what you want to achieve right from the outset, it is easier to lay a strategic plan out for you to follow.Agencies who handle advertising like to stretch campaigns to last for as long as possible, so they might suggest that you begin with some teasers. Teasers constitute an attempt to get the attention of the public in such a way that their curiosity is pricked. We can relate this to both a personal and an organizational level. You could decide that you are introducing a new you to people in your circle of influence; Of course, you would have decide before hand what aspects of your personality you want to change and actively change them. Re-branding is not pretending to be what you want to be, it is being it!
Whatever shape, size, identity or name you want to introduce, its good that you do it and go all the way.
Once you have decided what you want, the next stage is to lay out a plan, step by step of how you intend to achieve it! Can you bring it out full steam ahead, without reservations or will you reveal it bit by bit? If the concept you have planned is a simple product that is taking on a small change, then it can be done at once with announcements being made in key areas in which the product is patronized.
If the change you are anticipating is so drastic, you might have to break the process down into stages; do it bit by bit, because audiences often find complex change difficult to adjust to.
While the process  of change or transformation is going on, the narrative has to be revised and reemphasized. What are people saying about the product? What people say is directly proportional to what they think.  If we can change what people say about our product or service then we can also adjust their thinking towards it. The rebranding process never ends, the emphasis on the new narrative has to continue until its stuck in the minds of the people who would patronize the product. Services and products have to change for good, users of the product need to recognize this change and moreover, the attitude of those who provide the service or product has to change for good, tilting towards the needs and aspirations of the customers.
